My name is Alexis Cardoza. I am a Latino Filmmaker, Director, Editor, Screenwriter & Digital Content Creator.
I am a retired U.S. Marine Veteran, based out of New Jersey and the greater NYC area. I like to bring stories to life, showing the world my vision through the lens of my camera. Currently, I work as a Creative Director and Video Editor in NYC. When not in the studio, I am traveling and filming shorts, writing scripts, or getting myself involved in productions in any capacity. The world of entertainment has been my passion since I was young, and I am grateful to be able to share my knowledge and experience as a filmmaker with others.
After working on my very first student film named "PRESS RECORD©" I wrote and directed a short documentary on live streaming and how it has taken over conventional ways of communicating with others.
This current project is a documentary on how live-streaming is facilitating a growing trend across the globe, and how lives are being changed, personalities are shining on their own, and how using live streaming as a medium can help spread someone’s message much faster. I am also a part of a select group of filmmakers, creators, and talented on-screen personalities that went from serving our country in the armed forces to the entertainment industry, called VME (Veterans of Media & Entertainment).
The opportunity to create content and speak to individuals from all different spaces in the industry is what drives me in this amazing field.
As the creative director and editor at AW360 I handle the in house shows as the technical director, social media video editor, and the live stages at Advertising Week where we get the chance to speak to creatives and leaders from across all platforms in the marketing, technology, and entertainment industries.
PRODUCER & EDITOR.
I currently produce and edit podcasts for various personalities in the creative industry from bloggers, TV personalities, and Marketing giants.
For many years I owned and operated ClubZone.FM, an internet radio station that was listened to in over 120 countries. In that time I developed friends, contacts, and furthered my skills in the audio world. With over 100 interviews from celebrities to sports players, I acquired a love for the art of podcasting before it was mainstream. To keep my creative juices going I created a podcast called In Case I Missed It, which is available on any platform podcasts are found. Come on an adventure where I speak to creatives from all walks of life and let the conversations take over.
